Horse Dentistry Facilities
In May 2017, Dental Vet completed Western Australia’s first and only, purpose built Veterinary Equine Dentistry clinic. We are one of the few practices worldwide with the training, equipment and horse dentistry facilities to be able to provide more advanced dental procedures such as restorations (‘fillings’) and endodontics (‘root canal’ treatments). During every stage of the design and build of the facilities, safety and comfort for our patients were the highest considerations. The clinic is located at 440 Nicholson Road in Forrestdale and is equipped with stables and yards with post, rail and mesh fencing and reticulated paddocks. Clients can leave their horses for dental treatments, or stay and watch if they prefer. Our attention to detail means your horses are in safe, experienced hands.
Our horse dentistry facility has ‘all the toys’, including oral endoscopy so we can closely examine as well as photograph and video inside your horse’s mouth, digital radiology (x-rays), an IM3 dental unit for restorations and endodontics, ultrasound, as well as significant equipment to treat advanced periodontal disease and, of course, equipment for thorough routine dental examinations and treatment.
